На реке Северной Двине в 11:40 мск ледоход подошел к г/п Нижняя Тойма (411 км от г. Архангельск). Интенсивные подвижки льда наблюдаются ниже по течению до д.Усть-Морж (265 км). Вскрытие верхнего течения Северной Двины произошло на 9-15 дней раньше среднемноголетних сроков. Уровни воды в Красноборском и Верхнетоемском районах близки и превышают на 95 см среднемноголетние значения при ледоходе.
На реке Ваге развитие ледохода происходит в районе н.п. Шеговары (81 км от устья). Ниже по течению реки наблюдается ледостав с разводьями, трещинами, закраинами, отмечаются подвижки льда. Вскрытие происходит ранее среднемноголетних сроков и на низких горизонтах, на 100-130 см ниже среднемноголетних уровней воды при ледоходе, что связано с ранним прохождением первой половодной волны и с продолжительными остановками на плохо подготовленных участках реки.
На реке Онеге ледоход развивается ниже н.п. Анциферовский Бор (89 км от устья).
Произошло вскрытие реки Вычегды в районе г/п Федяково (73 км от устья).
На реках Пинеге и Вычегде местами встречаются закраины и промоины.
На реках Мезени, Печоре – ледостав.
16 апреля ледоколы ФГУП «РОСМОРПОРТ» продолжают работы по разрушению льда в устьевой области Северной Двины на участке г. Архангельск — н.п. Вайново для подготовки русла к пропуску основного ледохода.
В порту Архангельск, в рукавах дельты Северной Двины, лёд взломан искусственно. Наблюдается вынос льда на Соломбальском рейде и в протоке Маймаксе.
